Hi, I’m Libby, thanks for stopping by. In a nutshell I’m wife to a very supportive husband aka the cyclist. I’m mum to 2 energetic boys, the jolly monkey (7) and the little one (5). To add to the mix I’ve also taken on the title of graphic design student this year. I reside in Australia’s capital having moved here from Atlanta Georgia and I confess I still get nostalgic for southern USA life – I don’t think the cyclist feels the same. My blog began almost 3 years ago after being swooped by a bird, I wanted to write down my observations and so it began. I still can’t believe I’ve stuck to it. I was always one of those kids that wanted to write a daily diary and each year I didn’t ever get past January. I think I’ve found my medium.
I graduated from art school with a Bachelor of Art Education and a major in design, but more of the 3 dimensional variety. I took a detour to English teaching and spent 2 years working in Japan. I then discovered HTML and have been working in and teaching web technologies off and on since 1998. I am a creator, quilter and web nerd and somehow all those pieces fit together. One day I’d like to print my own fabric and blogging has been a way of documenting what inspires me.
I work three days a week as a trainer and implementation specialist for small awesome company called Squiz. In my ‘free’ time between hanging out with my little men and studying I also develop WordPress sites for small businesses. Here’s a sample of my work:
