A little belated, but so is everything when you’re getting ready to move house. I received the second last lot of fabric from the wonderful Joy at a A Joyful Soul Fabrics. A small piece for the binding and this piece intended for the borders. My youngest opened the package with great excitement and proceeded to drag this long length of fabric around the house. He spread it out very carefully on our bedroom floor and rolled around on it – as pictured above. I had to wait until it had been thoroughly road tested before I could wash it!

Before the week comes to a close, I want to document Monday’s adventures. Monday (March 10) was Canberra Day holiday here in the National Capital. My boys and I joined in the Big Canberra Bike Ride. This photo is of the sea of cyclists and that’s Black Mountain Tower in the background. It was such a beautiful day and a fun event. My darling husband and I took it in turns pulling the boys in the Croozer. We opted for the 15km course over the 25km course. That’s as much as both of us could stand. Not to mention the boys who started head butting each other about 3km into the ride. The ride is put on by Pedal Power – one of our biggest bicycle lobby groups. They do good work and have made the city a very cycle friendly place to be.
It’s been too long between posts, I know. I spent most of this week trying to get this photo off my phone, Bluetooth has officially eluded me. I know it doesn’t look like it has much to do with being gracious but I will try and explain. I spent Monday and Tuesday in Sydney attending training. The purpose of the trip was to learn and get a little support from the Sydney based trainer. As it turned out she was not at all willing to teach or support and treated me with animosity and contempt for my entire visit. So I’m practising being gracious about the whole turn of events. For all I know she may be having a really bad week. So instead of getting hot headed I’ve decided to be gracious and concede that it’s not all about me! As for the picture, it’s taken from the plane on landing at Canberra airport where my family was waiting for me. It’s so great to be home with people that love me. By the way – Happy Australia Day!
