  • About MeHi, I’m Libby, thanks for stopping by. In a nutshell I’m wife to a very supportive husband aka the cyclist. I’m mum to  2 energetic boys, the jolly monkey (8) and the little one (6). I’m a part-time graphic design/business student, art school graduate, web nerd and self professed coffee snob. I reside in Australia’s capital having moved here from Atlanta Georgia and I still get nostalgic for southern USA life – I don’t think the cyclist feels the same. My blog started in 2007 after falling victim to a swooping bird. Mostly I document what inspires me which will usually have something to do with colour, design, fabric or handmade. Sometimes I pull out my soapbox for a rant – but not very often. My blog name is an homage to the inexact science of weather prediction, for which I have a strange fascination. I have a job that takes up 3 days of my week and in my ‘free’ time between hanging out with my little men and studying I also develop Wordpress sites for small businesses. Here’s a sample of my work: Signing Stars Heavenly Home Services Creatively Belle Handmade Jewellery Lifestyle Fitness Training Excel Australia Totom…

Tomorrow is Australia Day and for reasons unknown I always imagine myself lying on a beach somewhere on Australia Day. This is absurd because I don’t live close to a beach and I’m against tanning so it must have something to do with my heritage. We will, however, be sitting on a beach next week…

Did you know that iStockphoto release a free vector and image each week? Neither did I until I paid attention to the email in my inbox and now I watch out for them. This pomegranate came free a couple of weeks ago and fitted with my current fruit obsession. Something I haven’t done in a…

I hate summer! No really, my philosophy is the world works better when it’s colder and the colder the better. I never feel comfortable in summer and it’s unfortunate that I happen to live in one of the hotter countries on earth. I do however, love summer fruit, well anytime of the year fruit really…

I can’t believe I haven’t shared this with you yet! This is my latest premium WordPress theme from Crimson Pear. It’s called Kuro (means black in Japanese) and the original inspiration came from a ribbon I had seen and wanted to incorporate into a design somehow. I scoured so many image sources for the perfect…

I have remained somewhat silent since Pantone announced their Colour of the Year for 2013 – Emerald Green but can I just say – I totally saw this coming! The image above was put together for a guest post for my good friend Brandi over at Brandi Girl Blog. Brandi asked me to write about…

Happy New Year friends! Does it feel good to know we are all still here and the Mayans were not right – this time? I’ve started my year thinking of trees – yes really. New Years Eve was spent in the garden of the new house of friends and they seem to have acquired the…
