  • About MeHi, I’m Libby, thanks for stopping by. In a nutshell I’m wife to a very supportive husband aka the cyclist. I’m mum to  2 energetic boys, the jolly monkey (8) and the little one (6). I’m a part-time graphic design/business student, art school graduate, web nerd and self professed coffee snob. I reside in Australia’s capital having moved here from Atlanta Georgia and I still get nostalgic for southern USA life – I don’t think the cyclist feels the same. My blog started in 2007 after falling victim to a swooping bird. Mostly I document what inspires me which will usually have something to do with colour, design, fabric or handmade. Sometimes I pull out my soapbox for a rant – but not very often. My blog name is an homage to the inexact science of weather prediction, for which I have a strange fascination. I have a job that takes up 3 days of my week and in my ‘free’ time between hanging out with my little men and studying I also develop Wordpress sites for small businesses. Here’s a sample of my work: Signing Stars Heavenly Home Services Creatively Belle Handmade Jewellery Lifestyle Fitness Training Excel Australia Totom…

I love the vibrancy of aqua but it’s not something I usually wear or even decorate with for that matter. This colour really suits my mother and she wears it so well. I’m well pleased with my finds today. They are: TOP: The Glass Chickadee – Aromatherapy Glass Pendant in Antique Aqua. At first I…

I had to do it! For my previous macaroon post I searched high and low for the perfect (creative commons) picture. I had completely forgotten about these gorgeous images from Pugly Pixel that I downloaded a few weeks ago. There is enough singles, stacks, profiles and macaroons with bites out of them to tempt the…

This is probably not my favourite end of the green spectrum but I do like the versatility of olive green. The etsy colour search doesn’t really deal very well with this colour in either the new or the old search tool. My keyword search yielded many variations on the colour but here’s what I found:…

A few weeks ago my parents were visiting and my mother declared that ‘macaroons are the new cup cake’. That’s funny I thought and dragged out the Wednesday Canberra Times Food & Wine magazine with a cover photo of, you guessed it, macaroons. Does this happen to you? You become aware of something and then…

I love green, but I think you already know that. It’s a colour that just attracts me. I wear it, I eat off it (placemats) and I even walk on it (rug). So finding three and only three for dark green has been a mammoth task for the person that does not like to eliminate…

In my quest for light blue inspiration this week I stumbled upon a single photo by Gabrielle Kai. I was going to include that photo (the one with the raspberries) but then decided to save her work for a whole post of it’s own. I’m so enchanted by the sweetness and light in her works.…
